In case you missed it, we recently launched our inaugural Strategic Plan for Atlantic First Nation Tech Services (AFNTS). This marks the first Strategic Plan dedicated exclusively to AFNTS. For over two decades AFNTS has been providing technology-related services to education and health facilities across Atlantic Canada's First Nation Communities. In addition to providing technical services, AFNTS collaborates with community education, health, and Band staff. Collaboratively, we seek to find solutions and innovations aligned with each community’s unique needs as technology changes in order to improve services and outcomes. Over the years technology has evolved, and we’ve done our best to adapt and broaden the support and services we provide in an effort to meet the IT needs of our 33 communities. Over the past few years, it became clear that a more concrete plan was needed to ensure we were serving our communities in the best way possible. Through the planning process, key strategic directions for the next 5 years were identified which will help to guide annual priorities and goals to be incorporated into our ongoing operational plan.
