FNIHB Virtual Sharing Circles

Did you know Atlantic First Nation Health and Treatment Centre staff can join the FNIHB Health  Virtual Sharing Circles using the Poly X50, Poly X30 or Poly Gs 310 videoconference units available at a number of First Nation community health and treatment centres in the Atlantic region?

Below is a list of current FNIHB Health Virtual Sharing Circles staff can join using the Poly videoconference equipment:

  • FNIHB Let's Talk: First Nation Community Health
  • FNIHB Maternal Child Health Virtual Sharing Circle
  • FNIHB Aboriginal Diabetes Initiative Virtual Sharing Circle

Emails are sent to health and treatment staff with information regarding the next upcoming FNIHB Health Virtual Sharing Circle. If you haven't received any of these emails and would like to be added to the email list, please contact  Sarah Doucette by  email  sdoucette@kinu.ca or phone 1 902 567-0842 Ext 5504

How to join an upcoming FNIHB Health Virtual Sharing Circle 

Poly X50 and Poly X30

  • Make sure the Poly X50 or Poly X30 videoconference unit is plugged in and turned on before the scheduled sharing circle. Poly X50 and Poly X30 videoconference units need to be plugged into a power source and a ethernet wall port.
  • On the day of the scheduled FNIHB Health Virtual Sharing Circle, a few minutes before the start time, the scheduled FNIHB Health Sharing Circle info will appear on the TC 8 controller and TV screen. Click the FNIHB Health Virtual Sharing Circle on the TC 8 controller 
  • Enter the Zoom Meeting ID and Passcode (if required). Then you will be admitted into the FNIHB Health Virtual Sharing Circle once the Zoom host starts the meeting.
  • The Zoom Meeting ID and Passcode are in the email you received from Sarah Doucette about the upcoming FNIHB Health Virtual Sharing Circle.

*Important* If your Poly videoconference unit has been unplugged for a length of time, please contact Sarah Doucette, AFNTS  at least 24 hrs before to ensure it is up and running correctly before the scheduled FNIHB Health  Virtual Sharing Circle session. 

Poly Gs 310 

  • Using the Poly Gs 310 remote, select the FNIHB Health Virtual Sharing Circle on the screen and enter the Zoom Meeting ID and Passcode( if required) or select "Join Zoom Meeting" and enter the Zoom Meeting ID and Passcode( if required). The FNIHB Health  Virtual Sharing Circle info will appear on the TV screen a few minutes before the start time. You will be admitted into the FNIHB Virtual Sharing Circle once the Zoom host starts the meeting. 
  • The Zoom Meeting ID and Passcode are in the email you received from Sarah Doucette about the upcoming FNIHB Health Virtual Sharing Circle.
