This April, the Atlantic First Nation Health Hub celebrated 1 year since the live launch of the intranet. This is a private virtual platform for health centre staff to network, collaborate, share and store information securely. A private knowledge exchange of information for Atlantic First Nation health staff.
Over the past few months, The Health Hub has been busy promoting the benefits, actively recruiting new users and gathering content to upload. The Health Hub provides relevant information to Atlantic First Nation health centres, treatment centres and tribal organizations health staff. The work is an on-going effort in collaboration between Atlantic First Nation Tech Services (AFNTS), Indigenous Service Canada(ISC) and Wow Digital.
The Health Hub recently attended the Atlantic Policy of Congress Chiefs Atlantic Health Conference, Mental Health & Addictions Conference and the Atlantic Nursing Professional Development Conference. These events were a great networking opportunity to gather interest, assist with registration and provide presentations to health staff.
AFNTS & ISC staff will continue working diligently to expand the Health Hub. The goal is to build awareness around the platform with continuous growth of users and content, and to eventually onboard all 33 Atlantic First Nation Health Centres.
