Atlantic First Nation Tech Services is searching for a dynamic individual to lead the content development, organization, and maintenance of the Atlantic First Nation Health Hub. Our current Health Hub Coordinator, Blossom LaBillois, is moving on to a new employment opportunity, and we’re looking for someone to take the lead on this evolving project. Blossom will be with us until the end of June, and the hope is to get someone in place by mid-June to allow for a smooth transition.

For those that are not aware, the Health Hub is an Intranet (private website) for staff at Atlantic First Nation Health Centres that provides a knowledge exchange of health-related information. The Health Hub gives health staff the ability to network, collaborate, store, and share information. More specifically, the Health Hub provides the opportunity for Health Centres to share/store resources with all Atlantic First Nation Health Centres via the Global Space, and also provides a file management and backup solution for each Health Centre via their Private Dashboard. The Health Hub is also available to Treatment Centres and other First Nation led organizations supporting health across the Atlantic region. For more info on the Health Hub, go to: https://www.afnts.ca/health/health-hub

Since launching in 2023, the team has worked hard to onboard users (180 and counting), facilitate the uploading of content by Health Centres, and to improve the overall functionality of the site. We recognize that more work needs to be done to maximize the usefulness of the site, and are committed to finding the right candidate to fill this pivotal role.

The successful candidate will have strong leadership and project management skills. Experience in a healthcare setting, although not required, will be an asset. Web design/creation experience is not required, but a basic understanding of utilizing websites for members of the public, with technical aptitude and interest is important. A Degree or Diploma in a relevant field (communications, health, technology, community development, leadership) is required. The successful candidate can be located anywhere in the Atlantic region providing they are willing to travel.

Anything you can do to help share this job opportunity is greatly appreciated. The full job description as well as the complete requirements can be found at the following link: http://kinu.bamboohr.com/jobs. The posting will remain open until the position is filled, but as mentioned, the hope is to have someone in place by mid-June.
