Mi'kmaw Language Web App

We are excited to share that all content from the Mi'kmaw Language Web App that was originally accessible from the old help desk website (firstnationhelp.ca) is now accessible at our new website by going to: afnts.ca/mikmaw/dashboard

When we launched the new website late last fall, we didn't really promote this piece of the site because not all components had been converted into the correct file format so that they'd be accessible from the new site. This work has now all been completed thanks to Cageless Content.

The web application is comprised of all the same items as before, including:

  • 30 lessons
  • 61 songs
  • 25 books
  • 13 talking posters
  • 6 prayers

The main difference is that these resources now have a more modern look, increased functionality, and have been optimized for mobile devices. The web app can be accessed from any device that has a web browser.

The Dear Elders site has also been migrated over to our new site. It can be accessed by going to: www.afnts.ca/dear-elders/dear-elders

AFNTS not only serves the Mi'kmaq people, but has the pleasure of serving Wolastoqiyik and Innu peoples across the Atlantic Region. Although we do not have any Wolastoqiyik or Innu language resources on our website at the moment, we certainly aspire to in the future. If you know of any Wolastoqiyik or Innu language resources that you think would fit well on our website, please email info@afnts.ca
