Did you know that the existing telehealth videoconference systems, located in a majority of Atlantic First Nation Health and Treatment Centres can be used to access Virtual Health Care via Zoom? Health staff can also use this technology to join administrative meetings and professional development sessions via Zoom.
ISC-FNIHB and AFNTS partnered with Provincial and Regional Health Authorities in order to expand clinical telehealth/virtual care to new clinical areas for First Nation Health centres. We made sure that Zoom settings were and still are highly secure to safely provide this service.
If you have questions or inquiries about Virtual Health Care services provided by local health authorities please feel free to contact Jacquelyn MacDonald, FNIHB-ISC Regional Nurse eHealth /Clinical Telehealth at jacquelyn.macdonald@canada.ca/ Tel: 902-880-7961
In the Summer of 2021, AFNTS (formerly known as ACFNHD) offered two Zoom user licenses per health site, one Zoom license for education and one for administration. AFNTS is available to offer training, IT support and assist with scheduling Zoom meetings if needed.
